Start from the Old Town of Rethymno, heading west towards the seafront. Once at the promenade, continue walking along the beach until you reach the Rethymno Port. From the port, follow the signs for the bus station located nearby. Catch the bus heading towards Amari Valley. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Amari Dam Reservoir. From the bus stop, walk along the dirt path leading towards the reservoir, which is well-marked.
