Getting There

Walking
From the center of Rethymno, head north towards the Old Port area. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the Venetian Harbor. Continue walking along the coastal road (Epar.Od. Rethymnou - Irakliou) heading west. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will reach the village of Akrotiri. The Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Tzagaroli Monastery is located on the left side of the road, just a short distance from the main road.

Public Bus
From Rethymno bus station, take the KTEL bus heading towards Chania. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. Once you arrive in Chania, switch to a local bus that goes to Akrotiri. Get off at the stop closest to the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Tzagaroli Monastery, which is well-signposted. Follow the signs, and you will find the monastery a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Rethymno. Start from the city center and cycle towards the Old Port, then follow the same route as if you were walking along the coastal road (Epar.Od. Rethymnou - Irakliou). The bike ride to Akrotiri is approximately 8 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Once you reach the village of Akrotiri, the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Tzagaroli Monastery will be on your left.
