    Start from the center of Rethymno, specifically from the Venetian Harbour. Head northeast along the waterfront promenade (Akti Koundourou Street) until you reach the intersection with 25 Martiou Street. Turn left onto 25 Martiou Street and continue straight until you reach the junction with E. Venizelou Street. Turn right onto E. Venizelou and continue walking until you reach the main square, Plateia Platanou. From the square, take the path leading to the Old Town. Navigate through the narrow streets towards the entrance of the Municipal Garden. Once you exit the garden, head towards the direction of the old city wall, then follow the signs towards the Mill area (Mylos). After walking about 15-20 minutes from the Old Town, you will reach the entrance to Μεγάλος Καταρράκτης των Μύλων.

    From the center of Rethymno, walk to the nearest bus stop located on E. Venizelou Street, near the Old Town. Take the local bus that heads towards the village of Mylopotamos. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the Mylos area. Once you disembark, follow the signs for Μεγάλος Καταρράκτης, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Look for markers that guide you through the greenery and towards the waterfall.
