Continue straight along the main road (E75) that leads out of the town. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see signs for the Platania gorge on your right. Follow the signs into the gorge area.

    Go to the central bus station located on Vasileos Georgiou Street in Rethymno. Purchase a ticket for the bus heading towards Kourites. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kourites, disembark and walk towards the Platania gorge, which will be a short distance from the bus stop. Look for signs guiding you to the gorge entrance.

  • Bicycle Rental

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Rethymno. Start your ride from the Old Town and head towards the main road (E75) leading out of Rethymno. Cycle along the waterfront and follow the road as it curves into the countryside. After about 5 kilometers, look for signs indicating the entrance to Platania gorge on your left. It's a scenic ride, so take your time and enjoy the views!
