Getting There

Walking
If you find yourself in the center of Fira, head towards Ipapantis Street. From the main tourist area, walk downhill towards the large church with the bell tower, known as the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. Once you reach the church, continue straight, passing the numerous shops and cafes on both sides. After about 5 minutes of walking, you will reach Fira Theotokopoulos Main Square, which is a lively area surrounded by more shops, restaurants, and beautiful views of the caldera.

Bus
If you're coming from Oia, take the local bus towards Fira from the Oia Bus Station. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fira Bus Station, exit and walk towards the main street. Head downhill towards the main square, which will be visible ahead. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus station to Fira Theotokopoulos Main Square.

Cable Car
If you are coming from the old port of Fira, first take the cable car up to Fira town. The cable car station is located near the dock area. Once at the top, you will find yourself in the central part of Fira. From the cable car exit, walk towards the main pedestrian area which leads directly to Fira Theotokopoulos Main Square, just a short 5-minute walk.
