The Enchanting Old Mill of Santorini

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Fira, the capital of Santorini, start by heading down to the main square (Plateia Theotokopoulou). From there, you can walk towards the Old Port by following the signs leading to Fira's cable car station. Once you reach the cable car station, continue downhill on foot, enjoying the beautiful views of the caldera. After about 15-20 minutes, you will reach the Old Port. From the Old Port, follow the path that leads to the village of Oia, which will take you along the coast. After approximately 30-40 minutes of walking, you will see the Old Mill on your right, located near the waterfront.

• Bus

  From Fira, go to the central bus station located near the main square (Plateia Theotokopoulou). Catch a bus heading to Oia, which runs frequently. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the Oia bus station. From the bus station, walk towards the center of Oia, and follow the road downhill towards the coast. Once you reach the waterfront area, walk to your right, and after a short distance, you will find the Old Mill.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Santorini to Oia. Ask the driver to take you to the Old Mill. The ride will take approximately 25 minutes from Fira or 15 minutes from Oia. Once dropped off, walk towards the waterfront area, and the Old Mill will be clearly visible nearby.
