From the center of Perissa, head east on the main road (Beach Road). Keep walking until you reach the intersection at the end of the beach where the road curves. Follow the road uphill, which will lead you towards Ancient Thera. This pathway is well-marked, and you will see signs directing you to the archaeological site. The walk takes approximately 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the coastline.
Bus
From Perissa, you can take a local bus to the nearest stop for Ancient Thera. Head to the main bus stop in Perissa, located near the beach. Purchase a ticket at the kiosk (approximately €1.80). Board the bus heading towards Kamari and ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for Ancient Thera. The bus ride is about 10 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of the archaeological site.
Taxi
For a more comfortable journey, consider taking a taxi from Perissa. You can easily find taxis near the beach area or call one via your hotel. The fare to Ancient Thera will cost around €10-€15 and takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to confirm the price with the driver before starting your ride.
