Public Transport
From Antigua, take a bus towards Parramos. In Parramos, transfer to a bus or microbus heading to Yepocapa. Get off at La Soledad, the starting point for the Acatenango hike. Bus fares can vary, but expect to pay around Q20-Q30 for the entire journey. Be prepared for a journey of approximately 2-3 hours.

Taxi
A taxi from Guatemala City to Acatenango can cost between $45 and $60 and take around 1.5 hours. From Antigua, a taxi to La Soledad will likely cost less, but confirm the price before starting your journey. This is the most direct option, but also the most expensive.

Driving
From Guatemala City, head west on CA-1 Occidente towards Chimaltenango. In El Tejar, turn left onto CA-1 Occidente-Libramiento de Chimaltenango. Take the off-ramp after 5.3 kilometers, then turn sharply right onto Carretera a Parramos. Drive through Parramos, then turn right at the T on Ruta a Yepocapa. Continue for 17.8 kilometers to La Soledad. Parking is available in La Soledad. Expect to pay a small parking fee of around Q20-Q30.
