Torre del Reformador: A Symbol of Guatemala's Heritage

Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are near the central area of Guatemala City, find a bus stop that services routes towards Zone 9. Look for buses with signs indicating they go to 'Zona 9' or 'Reforma'. Board one of these buses and ride until you reach the 'Torre del Reformador' stop. This should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off, you will see the Torre del Reformador directly ahead.

• Uber or Taxi

  Open the Uber app or flag down a taxi from a safe location. Input 'Torre del Reformador, JF7M+59R, 7A Avenida' as your destination. The ride will typically take around 10-15 minutes from the city center. Make sure to communicate clearly with the driver if necessary, mentioning the tower is a notable monument in Zone 9.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Torre del Reformador. From the central park (Parque Central), head west towards Avenida 6. Turn left on Avenida 6 and head south until you reach 7A Avenida. Turn right on 7A Avenida and continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes. The tower will be visible as you approach, located on your left.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Set your destination to 'Torre del Reformador'. Follow the cycle paths from the city center towards Zone 9. The route is relatively flat and should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Zone 9, keep an eye out for the Torre as a prominent landmark.
