From the San Marcos La Laguna dock, exit the dock area and follow the main path uphill towards the town. Instead of continuing into the town, take the first left. Walk for about 5 minutes until you see signs for Reserva Natural Cerro Tzankujil. The entrance fee is Q20 for foreigners.

From other towns on Lake Atitlán, take a public boat (lancha) to San Marcos La Laguna. Boats typically run every 15-30 minutes. From Panajachel, the boat ride costs around Q25 per person. Upon arrival at the San Marcos dock, follow the walking directions to reach the reserve.
