Start at the central market in Hinche, known as 'Marché de Hinche'. From the market, head south on Rue de la Réserve until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn left onto Rue de la Liberté and continue walking until you reach the main road, Route Nationale 1. Cross the road carefully, and then turn right. Walk along Route Nationale 1 for about 10-15 minutes until you see a sign for 'Vertières'. Follow the signs directing you towards Vertières, and after about another 10 minutes, you will arrive at the Heroes Monument of Vertières, located at Bas de Vertière, Rue Gabart in Cap-Haitien.

From the main square in Hinche, take a tap-tap (shared taxi) heading towards Cap-Haitien. The tap-tap drivers usually wait near the central market. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they are going to Cap-Haitien. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Cap-Haitien, ask to be dropped off at the nearest location to Bas de Vertière, Rue Gabart. You can walk from there to the Heroes Monument of Vertières, which should be nearby.
