Walking
Start at the central market in Les Cayes. From there, walk east along Rue 1ère. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue 2ème. Turn left onto Rue 2ème and follow it until you reach the main road. Cross the main road and continue straight onto Route Nationale #2, which leads out of the city. After about 1 km, you will see a sign for Fort Jacques. Follow the signs to the fort, which is approximately 1.5 km from this point. The path will lead you uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb.

If you have access to a bicycle, start at the central market in Les Cayes. Head east along Rue 1ère for about 500 meters. Turn left onto Rue 2ème and continue to Route Nationale #2. Turn right onto the main road and cycle for about 1 km. Look for the sign for Fort Jacques and follow the road leading to the fort. The bike ride is approximately 3 km in total and will involve some hills.
