Metro
If you are near Deák Ferenc tér, take the M1 metro line (the yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at the Opera station. Upon exiting the metro, you will be right at Andrássy út. Turn left and walk down the street for about 2 minutes. The Hungarian State Opera will be on your left at Andrássy út 22.
Tram
If you are near the Oktogon, take tram number 4 or 6 in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the next stop, which is the Opera stop. From there, walk back towards Andrássy út and turn left. The Hungarian State Opera will be located at Andrássy út 22, just a short walk from the tram stop.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Heroes' Square, start walking down Andrássy út towards the city center. The walk is approximately 20 minutes. As you walk, look for the impressive buildings lining the avenue. Continue straight until you reach the Hungarian State Opera located at Andrássy út 22.
Bus
If you are near Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), you can take bus number 79 towards Kossuth Lajos tér. Get off at the Opera stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes towards Andrássy út. The Hungarian State Opera will be directly in front of you at Andrássy út 22.
