Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you're starting from Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at the next stop, Vörösmarty tér, and transfer to Tram Line 2. Ride the tram until you reach the stop at Margit híd, budai hídfő. From there, you can walk across the Margit híd (Margaret Bridge) to reach Margaret Island. Once on the island, follow the path towards the Mini Zoo, which is located centrally.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Danube River, head towards the Margaret Bridge (Margit híd). Walk across the bridge, and once you reach Margaret Island, you will find signs directing you to the Mini Zoo. It is a pleasant walk across the bridge and through the park paths of the island.

  • Bus

    From the city center, you can take Bus number 26 from Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). Stay on the bus until you reach the stop called Margit híd, budai hídfő. Once you disembark, you can walk across the Margaret Bridge to reach the island. The Mini Zoo is located a short walk from the entrance to the island.

  • Tram

    If you are near the tram line, you can take Tram Line 4 or 6, which runs along the Pest side of the river. Get off at the stop called 'Margit híd, budai hídfő' and walk across the Margaret Bridge to enter Margaret Island. Follow the paths to find the Mini Zoo.
