Start your journey at any metro station in Budapest. If you are near Deák Ferenc tér, take the M2 (red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station. From there, transfer to tram line 4 or 6 at the nearby tram stop. Board the tram going towards Móricz Zsigmond körtér.

Stay on tram line 4 or 6 until you reach the Margaret Bridge stop (Margit híd). This journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs to Margaret Island (Margitsziget) which is directly accessible from the bridge.

Cross the Margaret Bridge on foot, and you will find yourself at the entrance to Margaret Island. The Mini Zoo is located towards the center of the island.
