Metro
If you're near Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the next stop, Vörösmarty tér. From there, head down Váci utca street, a pedestrian area filled with shops and cafes. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Váci utca, which will bring you to the Danube River. Turn right and walk along the riverbank for about 5 minutes until you reach the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. Cross the bridge. Once you reach the Pest side, walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes until you see Szent István tér on your left, where St. Stephen's Basilica is located at Szent István tér 1.
