Public Transport
To reach Szechenyi-hegy from the city center, start at Deák Ferenc tér, which is a major transit hub. Take the M1 metro line (yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at Széll Kálmán tér. Once you exit the metro station, follow the signs to the bus stop for bus number 21 or 21A. Board the bus and travel towards 'Hűvösvölgy'. You will need to get off at the 'Szechenyi-hegy' stop. From there, it's a short walk uphill to the peak, which offers stunning views of Budapest.
Walking
If you're already in District XII, you can walk to Szechenyi-hegy. Start at the nearest public transport stop or landmark like the Buda Castle. From the castle, head southwest towards the hiking trails that lead up to Szechenyi-hegy. Follow the signs for the hill, and enjoy the scenic walking paths through the wooded areas. The walk can take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace, but the views and fresh air are worth it!

If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Bolt or Uber. Simply enter 'Szechenyi-hegy' as your destination. The ride from the city center will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with the driver that you are going to Szechenyi-hegy in District XII.
