If you are in the center of Keszthely, start at the Keszthely Town Hall (Városháza), located on Kossuth Lajos utca. From there, head east on Kossuth Lajos utca towards the intersection with Széchenyi utca. Turn left onto Széchenyi utca and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rákóczi utca. Turn right onto Rákóczi utca and walk until you reach the large park on your left, which is the Festetics Castle grounds.

Continue walking along Rákóczi utca until you see the entrance to the Festetics Castle grounds on your left. There will be a large wrought iron gate, which is the főbejárati kovácsoltvas kapuja. Once you reach the gate, you can enter the castle grounds and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Alternatively, if you're near the Keszthely train station, exit the station and head southwest towards the main road. Turn right onto Balaton utca and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rákóczi utca. Turn left onto Rákóczi utca, and follow the earlier directions to reach the main entrance gate of Festetics Castle.
