Walking
From the center of Vác, head towards the Váci Church (Váci templom) located at Váci út 5. Once you reach the church, continue walking straight down Váci út until you reach the Váci town square (Váci főtér). From the square, look for the direction signs for the bus station. You will find the bus station on the main road just past the square. Here, you can take a bus to Budapest. Make sure the bus is heading towards Budapest. After about a 45-minute ride, you will arrive at the main bus terminal in Budapest. From the bus terminal, you can take the metro line M2 towards Örs vezér tere. Get off at Deák Ferenc tér station, and transfer to metro line M1 towards Mexikói út. Get off at the stop for Oktogon. From there, walk down the Oktogon square and take a right onto Andrássy Avenue. Continue straight until you reach Dob utca. Turn left onto Dob utca, and the Carl Lutz Memorial will be on your left at number 12.
Public Transport
From Vác, go to the local train station (Váci vasútállomás) and take a train towards Budapest. Choose a train heading to Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nyugati pályaudvar, exit the station and head towards the tram stop outside. Take tram number 4 or 6 in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér. Ride the tram for about 10 minutes and get off at Blaha Lujza tér. From Blaha Lujza tér, walk towards Rákóczi út, and then take a left onto Rákóczi út. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Dob utca, then turn right. Continue on Dob utca until you reach the Carl Lutz Memorial at number 12.
