Walking
From the center of Vác, head east on Kossuth Lajos utca towards the main square (Fő tér). Continue straight until you reach the bus station (Autóbusz-állomás). From there, take bus number 8 towards Visegrád. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off the bus at the Visegrád, Várhegy stop. Once you exit the bus, walk uphill towards the Visegrád Castle, which is well-signposted. The castle entrance is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Vác. Head to the main road (Duna-part) and follow it north along the Danube River. Continue cycling until you reach the sign for Visegrád. The ride takes about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your speed. Once you arrive in Visegrád, follow signs for Várhegy, where the castle is located. The path is mostly flat until you approach the castle, which involves a short uphill ride.

You can take a train from Vác to Szob, where you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Visegrád. From Vác train station, take the train towards Szob, which takes about 20 minutes. Upon reaching Szob, head to the bus stop and catch bus number 8 towards Visegrád. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Disembark at the Várhegy stop and follow the signs to the castle, which is approximately a 10-minute walk uphill.
