Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Vác, head south on Kossuth Lajos utca towards the Váci Cathedral. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Main Square (Fő tér). Turn left onto Fő tér and walk until you reach the bank of the Danube River. From here, take a right onto the river promenade and follow the path along the river until you reach the Váci train station. At the train station, purchase a ticket to Budapest. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride to Budapest, which takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Budapest Keleti Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. From there, take bus number 7 or 7E towards the direction of Újbuda-központ. Get off at the 'Blaha Lujza tér' stop. From Blaha Lujza tér, walk south along Dob utca for about 5 minutes until you reach Dob utca 35, where the synagogue is located.

• Train and Walking

  Start from Váci city center and walk to the Váci train station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk south. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Budapest. Board the train heading to Budapest, which usually departs every 30 minutes. After a 30 to 40-minute journey, you will arrive at Budapest Keleti Railway Station. Exit the station and take the metro line M2 (the red line) from Keleti Pályaudvar towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the 'Blaha Lujza tér' station. Once you exit the metro, walk south along Dob utca for about 5 minutes. The synagogue will be on your left at Dob utca 35.
