Car
From Borgarfjörður, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading southeast. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 40 km until you reach the junction for Route 43 towards Hafnarfjörður. Turn left onto Route 43 and follow it for about 15 km. As you enter Hafnarfjörður, take the exit toward the town center and follow signs for 'Vitastigur'. The Old Lighthouse is located at Vitastigur 12, 220 Hafnarfjörður. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking restrictions.

Start by taking a bus from Borgarfjörður to Reykjavík. You can use the Strætó bus service (check their schedule for bus number and timings). Once you arrive in Reykjavík, transfer to a bus heading to Hafnarfjörður. Bus number 1 or 3 will take you there. Get off at 'Hafnarfjörður' stop, then walk to Vitastigur 12, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the Strætó website for the most current bus schedules and possible fares.
