From the center of Olafsvik, start at the town's main square near the church. Head south on the main road (Road 54) towards Hellnar. The walk is approximately 6 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours on foot. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and ocean. After about 30 minutes, you will see a sign for Malarrif. Continue following the road, and you will eventually reach a fork. Stay to the left, following the signs for Malarrif. Keep walking until you reach the lighthouse, which will be visible from a distance.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main square in Olafsvik and head south on Road 54 towards Hellnar. The distance is approximately 6 kilometers, which can be covered in about 20-30 minutes by bike. Stick to the main road and enjoy the beautiful coastal views as you pedal. Once you reach the fork in the road, take the left path towards Malarrif. The lighthouse will be ahead, and you can park your bike nearby to explore the area.
