If you are driving, start from downtown Coeur d'Alene. Head west on Sherman Avenue towards 4th Street. Continue straight onto North 4th Street, which will turn into Northwest Boulevard. Follow Northwest Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Seltice Way (around 1.5 miles). Turn right onto Seltice Way, and after about 0.5 miles, you will see Independence Point on your left, situated next to the lake.
Public Transportation
To reach Independence Point using public transportation, head to the nearest bus stop at 4th and Sherman Avenue. Take the Coeur d'Alene public transit bus route that goes towards the waterfront. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Seltice Way and Northwest Boulevard. From there, it's a short walk of about 0.2 miles to Independence Point; head south towards the lake, and the point will be visible as you approach the waterfront.
Walking
If you're already in downtown Coeur d'Alene, walking to Independence Point is a pleasant option. Start at the corner of Sherman Avenue and 4th Street. Head west along Sherman Avenue, then take a left on 3rd Street. Walk down to Northwest Boulevard, turn right, and continue straight until you reach Seltice Way. Independence Point will be on your left, right by the lake. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and offers beautiful views along the way.
