From Panhandle, head south on ID-95 S for about 20 miles. Take the exit for I-90 E towards Coeur d'Alene. Continue on I-90 E for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 11 for US-95 N towards Sandpoint. Merge onto US-95 N and continue for about 15 miles. Finally, take the exit for Canfield Mountain Trailhead, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814, where you will find access to Idaho Panhandle National Forest.

Begin at Panhandle and take the local bus service to Coeur d'Alene. Check the bus schedule for the most updated times. Once in Coeur d'Alene, you may need to transfer to a taxi or rideshare service to reach Canfield Mountain Trailhead, as public transportation options may be limited directly to the forest entrance. If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking from Panhandle. Take ID-95 S for a scenic route, which is about 20 miles to I-90 E. Follow US-95 N for about 15 miles until you reach the Canfield Mountain Trailhead.
