Public Bus
From Arlington Heights, walk to the nearest bus stop that serves the Pace Bus service. You can take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Cumberland Terminal. Ride the bus and get off at the 'Cumberland & Montrose' stop. From there, transfer to the CTA Blue Line train at the Montrose station. Take the train towards Forest Park and get off at the Clark/Lake station. Once at Clark/Lake, transfer to the CTA Red Line train towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Get off at the 47th station and take a short walk to Hyde Park.
Train
Head to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Purchase a ticket for the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line to Chicago's Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once at Ogilvie, walk to the nearby Washington/Wells station and transfer to the CTA Pink Line towards 18th. Get off at the Damen station and transfer to the CTA Blue Line towards UIC-Halsted. Finally, transfer at the Clark/Lake station to the CTA Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan, getting off at the 47th station. From there, walk to Hyde Park.
Walking/Biking
If you enjoy walking or biking, you can start from downtown Arlington Heights and head south on Arlington Heights Road. Continue until you reach Dempster Street, then turn left (east) and follow Dempster until you reach the Metra station. From there, you can catch a train to Chicago. Once in Chicago, bike or walk towards Hyde Park. If biking, you can use the bike lanes on major streets and follow signs directing you towards Hyde Park.
