    From Arlington Heights, walk to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago O'Hare. The ride takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards Madison Street. Turn right on Madison Street and walk until you reach Wells Street. Turn left on Wells Street and continue until you reach Huron Street. Finally, turn right on Huron Street, and St. James Cathedral will be on your left at 65 E Huron St.

    From Arlington Heights, walk to the nearest bus stop for Pace Bus Route 696 located at Arlington Heights Rd & Northwest Hwy. Take the bus towards the Rosemont Transit Center. After about 30 minutes, transfer at the Rosemont Transit Center to the Blue Line train towards O'Hare. Ride the Blue Line until you reach the Washington Station. From there, exit the station and walk east on Washington Street until you reach State Street. Turn left on State Street and walk until you reach Huron Street. Turn right on Huron Street, and St. James Cathedral will be on your left at 65 E Huron St.
