Discover more about Funway

Funway Ultimate Entertainment Center in Batavia, Illinois, is a sprawling complex dedicated to providing diverse entertainment options for the whole family. What started as a small, indoor go-kart track in downtown Batavia in 1959 has evolved into Illinois' largest family entertainment center. Today, Funway boasts a wide variety of attractions. Year-round, visitors can enjoy bowling on state-of-the-art lanes, test their skills in the expansive arcade, zip around in bumper cars, navigate the laser tag arena, or glide across the roller skating rink. Black light mini-golf provides a unique twist on a classic game. During the warmer months, the outdoor park comes alive with go-karts, two different mini-golf courses, batting cages, bumper boats, and even water wars. Funway has a rich history of adapting and expanding to meet the changing entertainment preferences of the community. The Buri family, who originally founded Funway, added miniature carnival rides and trackless trains in the early 1960s. In the 1970s, a major expansion brought a large arcade and the Funway Skate Station. Bob Hansen, who purchased Funway in 1990, continued to add new attractions, including batting cages and an outdoor mini-golf course. In 2004, a 20-lane bowling alley was added. As of May 2024, Funway has been passed down to the next generation of the Hansen family. With its wide range of activities and long-standing presence in the community, Funway continues to be a popular destination for birthday parties, family outings, and group events.
