If you're traveling by car from anywhere in Fox Valley, start by getting onto IL-59 N. Follow IL-59 N for about 16 miles until you reach I-90 E. Merge onto I-90 E and continue for approximately 25 miles. Take exit 50B for Congress Parkway toward Roosevelt Rd. Continue on Congress Parkway and then make a left onto S Prairie Ave. Glessner House will be located on your left at 1800 S Prairie Ave, Chicago, IL 60616. Expect to pay for parking in the area, which typically costs around $2-$4 per hour.

To reach Glessner House using public transportation, start by taking the Metra train from any station in Fox Valley to the Chicago Union Station. Look for the BNSF Railway line. Once you arrive at Union Station, transfer to the CTA Pink Line train at the Damen station. Ride the Pink Line towards 18th and get off at the 18th station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Glessner House. Head east on W 18th St, turn left on S Prairie Ave, and continue until you reach 1800 S Prairie Ave. Alternatively, you can take a bus or rideshare from the 18th station to Glessner House for a small fee.
