Car
From Matthiessen State Park, exit the park and head northwest on IL-178 N. Follow IL-178 N for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with IL-71. Turn left onto IL-71 W and continue for approximately 2 miles. Then turn right onto N 27th Rd (Dee Bennett Road), and the Illinois Waterway Visitors Center will be on your left at 950 N 27th Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350. This drive takes about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
