From Naperville, head to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and head towards the Canal Street exit. From there, walk east towards the Chicago Riverwalk. You will find the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum located at 99 Chicago Riverwalk.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Naperville. Start your ride towards the DuPage River Trail, which connects to the Illinois Prairie Path. Follow the path to the east until you reach the outskirts of Chicago. You will eventually merge onto city streets leading into downtown Chicago. Follow signs for the Chicago Riverwalk.
