Public Bus
From downtown Naperville, walk to the nearest bus stop at Washington St & 5th Ave. Take the Pace Bus Route 855 towards the Metra station. Get off at the Aurora Metra Station. From there, catch the BNSF Railway Line train towards Chicago Union Station. After arriving at Union Station, transfer to the 'L' train, taking the Blue Line towards O'Hare. Get off at the Washington/Wells station and switch to the Brown Line towards Kimball. Disembark at the Merchandise Mart stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Wendella Tours & Cruises at 400 N Michigan Ave. Head north on N Wells St, turn left onto W Washington St, and continue until you reach N Michigan Ave.
Train
Start your journey at the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Board the BNSF Railway Line train heading towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 40 minutes, you will arrive at Union Station in Chicago. From Union Station, walk to the State/Lake 'L' station, where you can catch the Brown Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Merchandise Mart stop. It’s a short 10-minute walk from there to Wendella Tours & Cruises. Head north on N Wells St, take a left onto W Washington St, and finally turn right onto N Michigan Ave.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental services in Naperville. From downtown Naperville, take the Illinois Prairie Path heading northeast which connects to the DuPage River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the southern part of Chicago. Make your way through the city streets towards 400 N Michigan Ave. This route is scenic and will take about an hour, depending on your pace. Make sure to use bike lanes where available for safety.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to 400 N Michigan Ave, but it will be quite a long trek. Starting from downtown Naperville, head east towards the DuPage River Trail and follow it until you reach the city of Chicago. The walk will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, so ensure you're prepared with plenty of water and comfortable shoes. Upon entering Chicago, navigate using a map or GPS to reach your destination on Michigan Ave.
