From Oak Lawn's Metra station, board the train heading towards Chicago Union Station. Once you arrive at Union Station, walk to the Washington/Wells stop (about a 10-minute walk). From there, catch the CTA Brown Line or Pink Line train towards Kimball or 54th/Cermak. Get off at the State/Lake station. Exit the station and walk east on Lake Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the Chicago Riverwalk. Continue south along the river to 99 Chicago Riverwalk, where the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum is located.

Take the Metra train from Oak Lawn to Chicago Union Station. Once at Union Station, follow the signs to the CTA subway and take the Blue Line towards O'Hare. Get off at the Washington station. Exit the station and walk east for about 5 minutes until you reach the Chicago Riverwalk. Walk south along the river until you arrive at 99 Chicago Riverwalk, the location of the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum.

If you are already in the downtown area of Oak Lawn, head towards 95th Street. Follow 95th Street east until you reach Cicero Avenue. Turn right and walk south until you reach 87th Street. From there, take the bus towards Chicago Loop. Once you arrive in the Loop, walk towards the Chicago Riverwalk, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the river south to 99 Chicago Riverwalk.

You can rent a Divvy bike from a nearby station in Oak Lawn. Cycle north towards the Cook County Forest Preserve trails and follow the path towards the Little Calumet River. Continue along the river's bike path until you reach the downtown Chicago area. Once you arrive at the Loop, follow the signs to the Chicago Riverwalk. It is about a 30-minute ride from Oak Lawn to 99 Chicago Riverwalk, where the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum is located.
