From various points in Schaumburg, use Pace Bus Service or DART to reach the vicinity of Schaumburg Road and Plum Grove Road. From there, walk west on Schaumburg Road to Volkening Lake, which is located next to the police station. A regular DART cash fare is $4.00, with reduced fares available for seniors and people with disabilities.

Volkening Lake is located at 900 W Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194. From I-90, exit onto Roselle Road and head north. Turn east onto Schaumburg Road. The lake will be on your left, next to the Schaumburg Police Station and Fire Department. Parking is available in the lots near the police and fire stations. Parking is free.
