Getting there

Auto-rickshaw

Start at Gwalior Fort. Take an auto-rickshaw from the fort area. Ask the driver to take you to Tighra Dam. The driver will know the location. The ride usually takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views as you head out of the city.

Public Bus

Go to the Gwalior Bus Stand and look for buses heading towards Tighra. You can ask locals for which bus to take. Board the bus and pay the fare (around INR 20-30). The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Tighra bus stop, and from there, you can walk to the dam.

Cycle Rickshaw

From your location in Gwalior, hire a cycle rickshaw. Negotiate the fare before you start your journey. Inform the driver to take you to Tighra Dam. The ride may take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your starting point and traffic.

Walking

If you are near the Tighra locality, you can walk to the dam for a short distance. Use a map application to guide you to the coordinates (26.2176112, 78.0084567). Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the walk can be tiring.
