Walking

From the center of Leh, start at the Leh Main Bazaar. Head south on the main road, passing by the local shops and eateries. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at the end of the bazaar where the road splits. Take the left fork, which leads you toward the direction of the Shanti Stupa. Follow the road for approximately 1 kilometer until you see a sign for Sankar Gompa on your right. The path will lead you uphill to the monastery, which is situated about 500 meters from the main road.
