If you are starting from Hazratganj, walk towards the main road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg) and take a left onto the road heading towards the Vidhan Sabha. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the crossing near the Lucknow High Court. At the crossing, turn right onto Guru Govind Singh Marg. Walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the Hussainabad area. Rumi Darwaza will be on your left, easily visible with its grand structure.

From any central location in Lucknow, you can hire an auto-rickshaw and tell the driver to take you to Rumi Darwaza (or provide the address: 17/11 Hussainabad Road, Lajpat Nagar Colony). The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will navigate through the city, and you can enjoy the sights along the way. The landmark is well-known, so the driver should know the exact location.

If you are near the Bara Imambara, you can take a cycle rickshaw to Rumi Darwaza. Just tell the rickshaw puller you want to go to Rumi Darwaza, and they will take you through the narrow lanes of the old city. The distance is about 1 kilometer, and it should take around 10-15 minutes. You’ll get to enjoy the local atmosphere and see some traditional architecture along the way.

You can take a public bus that goes towards Hussainabad from various parts of Lucknow. Look for buses with routes that mention Hussainabad or Lajpat Nagar.
