Getting there

Walking

Start at the main market area in Manali, known as Mall Road. From there, head towards the Hadimba Temple, which is a well-known landmark. Once you reach Hadimba Temple, continue on the path that leads away from the temple towards Old Manali. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Old Manali as the path is well-trodden. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes. You will pass through some beautiful pine forests and may see some small cafes along the way.

Trekking

If you're feeling adventurous, there are trekking routes available from Manali to Old Manali. One popular route begins at the Hadimba Temple. Ascend the trail that goes uphill through the forest, which is well marked. This trek will take you through scenic views of the mountains and can take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Old Manali, follow the signs to the snow point, which is located further up towards the hills.

Local Transport (Auto-Rickshaw or Shared Taxi)

You can also take an auto-rickshaw or shared taxi from the Mall Road area to Old Manali. Simply approach the auto-rickshaw stand or look for shared taxis near the market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Old Manali. The ride is short, approximately 10-15 minutes, and will drop you near the Old Manali area. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the snow point, following the local signs.
