Getting There

• Walking

  From Old Manali, start at the central area near the Old Manali Bridge. Make your way towards Manu Temple Road. Walk along this road, which is quite scenic and lined with cafes and shops. As you continue walking, you will notice signs directing you towards Kharma Valley. The distance is approximately 2 kilometers, and it should take you around 30-40 minutes to reach your destination on foot.

• Local Bus

  Head towards the nearest bus stop on the main road in Old Manali. Board a local bus heading towards Vashisht, which is a nearby village. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Manu Temple stop. The ride will cost about 10-20 INR. From the bus stop, walk back towards Manu Temple Road, which is about a 10-minute walk, until you reach Kharma Valley.

• Auto Rickshaw

  You can find auto rickshaws near the main bazaar in Old Manali. Hire one and negotiate a fare (should be around 50-100 INR) to take you to Kharma Valley via Manu Temple Road. The ride will be short, approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure that the driver knows Kharma Valley or the Manu Temple area.

• Bike Rental

  If you prefer to explore on two wheels, consider renting a bike from one of the rental shops in Old Manali. The rental cost is typically around 300-700 INR per day. Head along Manu Temple Road, which will lead you directly to Kharma Valley. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic views at your own pace. The distance is about 2 kilometers, and it should take around 10 minutes to reach.
