Walking
From Altinho, head towards the main road, Av. de Goa. Walk down Av. de Goa until you reach the intersection with Rua 31 de Janeiro. This should take approximately 10-15 minutes on foot. Once you reach Rua 31 de Janeiro, turn left and continue walking until you arrive at Fontainhas old quarter, located at E-212, Rua 31 de Janeiro. The vibrant streets and colorful houses will guide you to the heart of this historic area.
Public Bus
If you prefer using public transportation, you can catch a local bus from Altinho to Panaji bus stand. Look for buses heading towards 'Panaji' and board one (the fare is usually around ₹10-₹15). Once you arrive at the Panaji bus stand, you can walk to Fontainhas, which is just a 10-minute walk away. Head towards Rua 31 de Janeiro, and you’ll find the Fontainhas old quarter at E-212 along this street.
Auto-Rickshaw
You can also opt for an auto-rickshaw for a more comfortable ride. Simply hail a rickshaw from any point in Altinho and tell the driver to take you to 'Fontainhas, Rua 31 de Janeiro'. The fare should be around ₹30-₹50. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. This is a convenient option if you are traveling with luggage or prefer not to walk.
