Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the Varkala Cliff area, take the South Cliff Road and head south towards Temple Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction at Temple Road. Turn left onto Temple Road and follow the road for about 1 km. You will find Perumkulam Beach on your right. There is limited parking available near the beach, so be prepared to park at designated areas.

• Public Transportation (Auto-Rickshaw)

  Auto-rickshaws are a convenient way to reach Perumkulam Beach. From the Varkala Railway Station or the main Varkala bus station, you can hire an auto-rickshaw. Inform the driver to take you to South Cliff, Temple Road. The fare should be around 100-150 INR, depending on the distance and time of day. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes, and the driver will drop you off near the beach entrance.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can also take a local bus to reach Perumkulam Beach. Board a bus that is headed toward Varkala from nearby towns or cities. Get off at Varkala bus station and then take an auto-rickshaw from there to South Cliff, Temple Road. The bus fare is typically very economical, around 10-30 INR, but the auto-rickshaw will add an additional cost of about 100-150 INR.

• Walking

  If you are staying close to the beach area, walking can be a great option. From Varkala Cliff, head south on the main road towards South Cliff. Follow the signs to Temple Road. It's a pleasant walk that takes approximately 30 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the roads can be uneven.
