From any central location in Gary, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus towards Hammond or Chicago. Make sure to check the bus schedule for accurate times. You will need to transfer buses at the Gary Transportation Center. From there, catch the bus heading towards Chicago (you can take the Route 11 or Route 10). After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at the Chicago downtown area. Once you get off the bus, walk towards Navy Pier. The Centennial Wheel is located at the entrance of Navy Pier.

Make your way to the Gary Metro Center, which is the main train station in Gary. Board a South Shore Line train towards Chicago. The ride will take about 50 minutes. Disembark at Millennium Station in Chicago. From there, exit the station and head towards Michigan Avenue. Walk north on Michigan Avenue until you reach the intersection with East Wacker Drive, then take a left towards the lakefront. Continue walking until you reach Navy Pier, where the Centennial Wheel is located.
