Getting There

• Public Transit

  From Gary, Indiana, head to the Gary Metro Center, which is located at 1 4th Ave, Gary, IN 46402. Once there, take the South Shore Line train towards Chicago. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour. Disembark at the Millennium Station in Chicago. From Millennium Station, exit onto South Michigan Avenue, and walk north until you reach East Randolph Street. Turn left on East Randolph Street and walk west until you reach South La Salle Street. Turn right on South La Salle Street, and you will find the Chicago Fed Money Museum located at 230 S La Salle St.

• Bus

  Start at the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus terminal located at 100 W 4th Ave, Gary, IN 46402. Take the GPTC Route 10 bus towards the South Shore Line. Ride until you reach the stop at the Gary Metro Center. From there, board the South Shore Line train heading to Chicago. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, exit the station and proceed to South Michigan Avenue. Walk north to East Randolph Street, take a left, and then walk west to South La Salle Street. Turn right, and the Chicago Fed Money Museum will be on your right at 230 S La Salle St.

• Walking and Transit Combination

  If you prefer to walk part of the way, start from a central location in Gary, such as the Gary City Hall at 839 Broadway, Gary, IN 46402. Walk to the Gary Metro Center (about a 15-minute walk). Once at the Metro Center, take the South Shore Line train to Millennium Station in Chicago. After disembarking, exit onto South Michigan Avenue, walk north to East Randolph Street, turn left, and continue walking west to South La Salle Street. Turn right, and the Chicago Fed Money Museum will be located at 230 S La Salle St.
