    Getting There

    Public Transit - Bus

    From the center of Gary, head to the nearest bus stop which is located at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Board the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus route 10 towards the Lake County Government Center. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 5th Avenue and Broadway in Chicago. Once you arrive, you will need to transfer to the CTA bus #151. Board the #151 bus heading towards the 'Diversey' and stay on for about 15 minutes. Alight at the stop closest to Lincoln Park, which is at the intersection of Lincoln Park West and Clark Street. From there, you can walk a short distance into Lincoln Park.

    Public Transit - Train

    Make your way to the Gary Metro Center, which is located at 300 W 4th Ave. Take the South Shore Line train towards Chicago Millennium Station. The train ride will last about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, exit the station and head towards the State Street exit. You will find the CTA bus station nearby. From there, catch the #151 bus towards 'Diversey' and ride for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Lincoln Park, at Lincoln Park West and Clark Street, and walk a short distance to the park.

    Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous and would like to walk, start at the Gary Metro Center and head east on 4th Avenue. Continue walking until you reach Broadway, then turn left and proceed to the bus terminal to catch the South Shore Line train. Note that this will take quite a long time and is not recommended unless you are prepared for a lengthy walk.
