To reach Gary Union Station by car, start by getting on I-94 E from your current location in Northwest Indiana. Follow I-94 E for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 1 for Broadway toward Gary. Continue on Broadway for about 2 miles. Gary Union Station will be on your left at 251 Broadway, Gary, IN 46402. There is limited parking available on-site, and you may need to pay for parking depending on the time of your visit.

By Public Transportation (Bus)
If you're traveling by public transportation, begin by locating a bus stop for the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC). You can take bus route 1 towards the Gary Transportation Center. Once you arrive at the Gary Transportation Center, transfer to bus route 10 which heads towards Broadway. Get off at the Broadway & 5th Avenue stop. From there, it's a short walk (about 0.3 miles) to Gary Union Station located at 251 Broadway, Gary, IN 46402. Be sure to check the GPTC schedule for the most current route and fare information.

If you prefer to travel by train, take the South Shore Line from your nearest station. If you're coming from Chicago, board the train at Millennium Station. After approximately an hour's ride, disembark at the Gary Metro Center station. From the Metro Center, you can either take a taxi (approximately $10) or use public transport such as GPTC bus route 10 to reach Gary Union Station. The station is located about 1 mile away from the Metro Center, so it's also possible to walk if you're up for it.
