Getting There
Ferry
To reach Pasih Andus (Smoky Beach) in Nusa Penida, first make your way to Sanur Beach. You can take a taxi or use a ride-hailing app to get there from your hotel or current location in Bali. Once at Sanur Beach, purchase a ticket for a ferry to Nusa Penida. Ferries typically run every 30 minutes in the morning, but it's good to check the schedule. The ferry ride takes about 30-45 minutes. After arriving at Nusa Penida, you will land at Toya Pakeh harbor. From there, you can hire a local scooter, or arrange for a shuttle or taxi to take you to Pasih Andus. The ride from Toya Pakeh to Pasih Andus will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
Scooter Rental
If you prefer to explore Nusa Penida on your own, you can rent a scooter at Toya Pakeh harbor. After renting, head southeast on Jalan Raya Toya Pakeh. Continue straight for about 6 kilometers until you reach the junction where you will see signs for Pasih Andus. Follow the signs, and continue on the road which will lead you through beautiful landscapes. After about another 5 kilometers, you will arrive at Pasih Andus. Please ensure to wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be challenging.
Local Taxi
Once you arrive at Toya Pakeh harbor, you can also opt for a local taxi service. Look for the designated taxi area near the harbor. Confirm your destination (Pasih Andus) with the driver before getting in. The fare should be negotiated beforehand; expect to pay around 200,000 to 300,000 IDR for the ride which will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
