    From Kuta, head to the nearest public bus terminal. Take the Kuta-Legian bus to the Denpasar bus terminal. Once in Denpasar, transfer to the bus heading to Amlapura. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Besakih Temple. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours. From the bus stop, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the temple entrance.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from your accommodation in Ubud or any nearby area. Start your journey heading towards the east on Jl. Raya Ubud. Continue on until you reach Jl. Raya Amlapura. Follow the signs towards Besakih Temple. The total ride is around 20 km and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your fitness level. Be cautious as the roads can be hilly.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Go-Jek or Grab)

    Open the Go-Jek or Grab app on your phone. Set your destination as 'Besakih Temple'. The ride from Ubud will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Ensure you communicate with the driver about your destination and confirm the price before starting your journey.

    If you are in the vicinity of Rendang, you can walk to the local market and ask for a local bemo (minibus) that goes to Besakih. The market is about a 15-minute walk from the temple.
