Getting There

• Ferry and Car

  Start your journey from Gili Islands by taking a public ferry to Bangsal Harbor on Lombok. Ferries operate frequently throughout the day, and the cost is usually around IDR 15,000 to IDR 25,000 (approximately $1 to $2). Make sure to check the schedule for the latest ferry timings. Once you arrive at Bangsal Harbor, you can hire a taxi or a car to take you to Blue Lake Central Lombok. The drive will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on traffic. The destination is located at Karang Sidemen, Batukliang Utara, Central Lombok Regency. Ensure that your driver is familiar with the area, as it may not be well known to all.

• Public Transportation and Taxi

  After taking the ferry to Bangsal Harbor, you can opt for a local bus or shuttle service to Mataram, the capital city of Lombok. The bus fare is approximately IDR 20,000 (around $1.50). From Mataram, you can catch a taxi to Blue Lake Central Lombok. The taxi ride will take about 40 minutes and will cost between IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000 (approximately $7 to $10). Remember to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

• Private Car Rental

  If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car at Bangsal Harbor. Rental prices vary but expect to pay around IDR 300,000 to IDR 500,000 per day (about $20 to $35), plus fuel. From Bangsal, take the main road towards Mataram and follow signs for Batukliang Utara. The drive will lead you through beautiful landscapes, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Once you reach the Karang Sidemen area, look for signs directing you to Blue Lake.
