Start your journey by taking a bus from the central area of Jakarta to the Merak Port. You can take the TransJakarta bus route 9 or 10 to reach the bus terminal near the port. Once you arrive at Merak Port, purchase a ticket for a ferry to Pulau Harapan. The ferry ride takes about 1-2 hours. Upon arrival at Pulau Harapan, you will need to take an additional local boat to Pulau Sepa Besar, which is approximately a 15-minute ride.

From Jakarta, head to the nearest commuter train station, such as Jakarta Kota or Gambir. Take the KRL Commuter Line to the station that serves the area closer to the port, such as Angke or Muara Angke. From there, take a local minibus or ojek (motorcycle taxi) to Muara Angke Port. At Muara Angke, buy a ticket for the speedboat to Pulau Harapan, which takes about 45 minutes. After arriving at Pulau Harapan, transfer to a local boat for a short ride to Pulau Sepa Besar.
