Walking
From the Newton Town Center, head east on Main St towards Washington St. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St and walk for another 0.3 miles. You will then arrive at the Newton train station. Board the commuter rail train heading towards Boston. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the South Station in Boston. From South Station, exit onto Summer St. Walk north on Summer St towards Devonshire St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Washington St, then turn left. Walk a few blocks until you reach Warrenton St, where you will find the Charles Playhouse at 74 Warrenton St.

Start at the Newton Town Center and walk to the nearest bus stop on Main St. Take the MBTA bus route 504 towards the Riverside Station. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Riverside Station. Transfer to the D Line subway towards Government Center. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the Kenmore station. At Kenmore station, transfer to the B Line towards Boston College. Stay on the train for 4 stops until you reach the Park St station. From Park St, walk south on Tremont St towards Warrenton St. Turn right onto Warrenton St, and you will find the Charles Playhouse located at 74 Warrenton St.
