    Newton Main Street is easily walkable, with most attractions located within a few blocks of each other. From the Jasper County Courthouse, walk south along 1st Avenue to reach the heart of Main Street. The street is pedestrian-friendly, with wide sidewalks and accessible crosswalks.

    Newton is located just off Interstate 80. Take Exit 159 or 164 to reach the downtown area. Parking is available on the street, but there is a 3-hour time limit on marked streets from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Violators may receive a $25 ticket. Parking is free in the formerly metered lots. During snow operations, no street parking is allowed. You can pay parking tickets online with a $3.00 service fee or by mail or in person at the Newton Police Department.
